We were in Juneau many years ago when we took the ferry from Seattle up the Inside Passage. We had our sleeping bags and slept on the ferry deck. Happy New Year, a bit late!
Happy New Year to you, too! I did that trip as well, way back in the late 1980s. That was in fact the last time that I went to Juneau before last fall, both times to visit the same college friend. I had a tent on the ferry deck and remember stopping in Sitka (with the Russian onion domes) and watching the whales and tiny coastal towns go by from the deck. A great experience.
